3 Routes
First time via Church Fork, then West Slopes which I prefer and then I used the Dragontail Ridge to complete the Millcreek Ridge Run recently. There is some bushwacking, but noot for extensive distances as long as you come back on the faint track before the first knob on the ridge. It is probably the most scenic route on the mountain and should clear up with more use.
A good hike for those times when you spontaneously decide in the middle of the day (or night) that you need to get your heart pounding for a few hours. Best enjoyed in sub 80 degree weather. :)

Church Fork
Fun hike. I can't wait to try it in the winter with snowshoes.

Route climbed: Church Fork
Climbed multiple times. Great hike for anytime of the year.
Have done this hike twice via churhfork and once from west side. Go in the spring, when the olympus ridge is still buried in snow, the views are awesome. Did the hike from churchfork on a saturday and memorial day and it was crowded. When I took the west ridge route I saw no other hikers. West ridge is very short but very steep.
from Church Fork. Next I will come from the West. Quick and Rewarding hike.

Second trip up. There was a little bit of snow still up on top. Always a fun hike to get some exercise. Also climbed 09/30/04

West Ridge
Hiked it cuz i wanted to do the whole ridge to Mt. Aire. Did beat my own time by 30-60 mins! that was nice!! too many people on top, unexpectedly. lol I thought there was a ridge trail over to Mt. Aire, but I found out differently. Only made it not quite 1/2 way til time made me turn around. Oh yah! if anyone finds a Lake Louise/Canada cap on the rocky part of the ridge...ITS MINE! love to have it back if ever found. :)

Church Fork
Nice little warm up for bigger peaks yet to be climbed!
Excellent hike, enough elevation gain to make it a challenge, yet not a long distance to make it epic. It was very beautiful with all the snow and I highly recommend spring as the best time to climb before it all melts.

Deep snow
The snow was very deep, but it was a beautiful early evening when we reached the summit. Overall a very nice hike. The ski pole was a life saver - thanks Dmitri!

Summer 2003
Great little day hike. Not too difficult for anyone. Best views of Salt Lake City bar none.

This was my second mountain trail I hiked, and it was a very nice trail. The switchbacks are a bit steep, but that's a common part of mountain hiking anyhow. Much of the mountains surrounding Grandeur Peak was snowcapped, and it was a great scenery to take in.
