Prenanthes purpurea, locally known as Gorcika (written with caron atop
c and spelled Ghorcheekah)
is widespread perennial herb with purple florets.
Gorcika flowers May-September mostly in the woods
rather then on the open meadows.
This is the only Prenanth that can be found in GK.
I am not aware of any common English name, however,
a similar (or same?) white colored plant is said to be known in North America as Rattlesnake root, name due to its efficacy in curing the bite of rattlesnakes.
