Fiery sunset above Hallgarter Zange in the Taunus Mountains right after a spring hailstorm cleared the air. Believe it or not, the colours were just like that. No strings attached. April 12th 2006

Before I shot this picture I would have thought that these kind of colours are only possible in th tropics - somewhere in Africa e.g. But ever since I have had my eye on our own sunrises and sunsets and they are amazing as well. For a while this year - when I drove to work I would see great sunrises and I only wished to have my camera with me, to be able to stop on the motorway to look and to take a picture or two.
