I always love finding this wildflower. It's also easy to grow in a dry garden, provided you have well-drained soil, lots of sun and cold winters. Photo taken at Winnemucca Lake, Northern Sierra Nevada, July 16, 2008

Winnemucca Lake

is one of my favorites! Did you run across any
mosquitoes, or are their numbers dwindling??

There were almost no mosquitos until dusk.
