lots of snow!Nice picture! I believe Rooster Rock has some technical routes, so I expected to see a picture of you leading up with ropes and ice screws! Have you ever been there in the summer?

Re: lots of snow!Thanks Jim.
I think there's a cragging area right there near the summit (Menagerie?). Looks like there are some rock spires. I think Brian Jenkins posts some info. regarding climbing in his Rooster Rock page........no, no ice screws, no rope....just lots of food :)

Re: lots of snow!Yeah Radek, I believe Mark an Natasha have climbed both the Rooster Rock technical face (although it's actually a bit below the summit) as well as nearby Rabbit Ears so I can find out more about that if you want.

Re: lots of snow!Hey Brian,
Thanks - I think Mark gave us some good beta on that area but I was not entirely sure if that was THE place we were hiking in (duh on my part!). If we don't type anymore, have a great Thanksgiving. Are you heading home for the long weekend?
Radek

Re: lots of snow!Cool - thanks guys. Sounds like an interesting place to climb. I visited Iron mountain last summer (nearby) and was noticing the interesting rock formations. I'd like to head back there with a rope someday ...
