Awesome report !!

For some reason, I didn't see this when I last visited. There's a
lot of history in regards to the White River side of Rainier.

If I had to do it over again, I would have found a permanent place to live in the small community of Greenwater. Thanks for the beta and valuable information!!

Great page

Are you familiar with the Mount Ruth option? There is a climber trail that leads up out of the Glacier Basin Campground and over Mount Ruth that dumps out at Camp Curtis. There is a very short section of class three rock right above Curtis. We took this route on the descent as the Inter Glacier was soo icy. It was a great option & very gorgeous providing us with even more scenery.

Re: Great page

Hey Rasgoat! Sorry for the delayed response. I'm sure the scenery from Ruth is awesome. It sounds like a great alternative given time and conditions. Peak baggers may enjoy the possibility of another peak. If your inclined to do so, I can include your description as part of the EW page. You might also consider putting it on the Mt. Ruth page (don't know if it exists). Send me a descriptive narrative if you'd like.

Thanks for the info. Be safe

Re: Blue Bags

I appreciate the input. I'll try to address the continuing problems of sanitation. I had the same "turd" experience. Good point about pee bottles, especially considering how many people pass through Schurman and just let it fly. Thanks. Rob
