Sunset South Climb
My son Zach and I climbed South Sunset Peak via the Charons Garden Trail from the Sunset Parking Trailhead. Once into the wilderness area we left the trail and headed NW through open and wooded areas until reaching the base. The view from the top is fabulous. Most Wichita peaks are visible from the top of this mountain. Great hike. Casual roundtrip was about 3 1/2 hours. (Laban West)
