Here it is the middle of November, and the Sycamores and cottonwoods are still wearing their Autumn colours. Reflections found at Wet Beaver Creek in central Arizona. [The air temperature was 75+ degrees (F) when I took this photo of my wife.] November 19, 2008

The dogs are OK to me, I'm not sure about the cats though:)))
BTW In seriousness, Larry, in Britain black cats bring good luck whereas in Poland they bring bad luck. How about the US? Depends on the state???

From my personal observation and experience,
black cats bring bad luck throughout the
world.

Of course, it's always how you "interpet"
the word "bad." In some cultures, bad means good!!!

In SE Asia, it's not uncommon to see cats
roaming the streets at will. Not sure, but
I think cats are looked upon as bringing
very good luck (and fortune) there.

Most certainly you have heard of "The Year of The Cat?"

To tell you the honest truth, I really MISS
Mount Adams and the Columbia River and
skiing every season up at Mount Rainier.

Isn't that funny how we somtimes dream or long for something other than what we have...not that I am not happy here along the Columbia. I know, though, that I love the high desert region of Central OR and would love many parts of the SW. I guess that is what makes travel a good thing -- so we can try other things, imagine a little, then come back home.
