Dream of Wild Turkeys, 5.10a

4th Pitch- 190’- 5.10a/ The crux pitch of the day as well as rope drag. The crux moves are at the top of the corner as you unlock the slab moves left across several bolts as they angle up to the fixed station, with considerable rope drag at this juncture. Mantle up into the wide crack and follow it, at times moving out right onto easier face features, until you near the end of the pitch and can see the two bolts out left. Take on the crux to the fixed station and hanging belay. About the only time you use your larger gear during the day will be in this corner. Re: how did you like it Dow?

decent...little overhyped maybe? Way too many bolts. I liked Sour Mash just as much. The 2nd and 9th pitches were fantastic climbing on great rock. The crux at the end of pitch 4 was heady but bolted. The start of pitch 3 and pitch 7 were both full on battle for the grade. Those last two pitches were worth continuing on for sure. The route went fast for us, but that was one of my regular partners. Party behind us bailed at the top of the 5th pitch as we rapped by. They beat us to the wall and thank god, gave us the go ahead. The POD Rappel was fast and worry free. Cheers.
