Dragontail Peak and Colchuck...

Dragontail Peak and Colchuck...

Dragontail Peak and Colchuck Peak from Cannon Mountain to the northeast on August 16, 2002. Between them is the steep Colchuck Glacier. On the horizon is that peak that shows up everywhere in the Washington Cascades: Mt. Rainier. The haze was due to a forest fire.

Nice but why twice

Hice picture Paul. It looks like you clicked submit twice. You should sign the summit logs of all the peaks you've climbed. Tell us about your trips.

Re: Nice but why twice

What was it Yogi Berra once said? Paraphrased: "You can observe a lot about something just by watching."

One of the images is for Dragontail Peak and one is for Colchuck Peak since both mountains are in the image.

Dean: I saw your similar picture on the Cannon Mountain page. Your picture you did not use for Dtail or Colchuck, so I decided to add my own.

Cheers - Paul

Great view spot

Indeed, your pic is very similar to one I posted by John Roper at my Cannon Mountain page . The top of Cannon peak is a premier view/photo spot for great pics of the Stuart range. BTW, if you have any more pics from Cannon Mtn., or of Cannon Mtn, please feel free to post them at my Cannon page, I need more nice pics like this one posted there.
