Beautiful day for a hike
Hiked with mstender. Agree that the HP could be where the official rockpile is, or possibly a little to the north and east. Strenuous, but enjoyable hike.

Weatherford Trail from Schultz Tank
Hiked with surgent. We hiked up the Weatherford Trail from the Schultz Tank TH to the saddle and then up the steep slope to the summit, about 15 miles roundtrip. The actual highpoint seems to be north of the point with the rock pile and summit register. Gorgeous day, calm, no clouds in the sky. Great views at Fremont.

Gret Summit
Made it up finally to the top of Doyle, after doing Fremont, it wasn't that bad heading up to Doyle from Doyle Pass. The summit hut is neat, but really needs work. If you walk east a little bit from the summit, there are HUGE views of all the peaks. Really cool summit!
Hiked up Weatherford Trail from Schultz Tank to Doyle Saddle, then up the steep ~700' ridge to the top. Surprisingly warm and calm on the summit - swarms of lady bugs everywhere. Good workout and nice day hike.

Difficult North Slope
Climbed via north slope through downed trees and steep snow and ice covered slopes. was trying to climb all seven peaks in one day but was forced off of Agassiz by ligthening.

Beautiful day to hike/climb...my small lab and I made the Doyle saddle in about 3.5 hours...only about a 30 minute summit from the saddle...guessing about 14-15 mile day trek...wife dropped me off at Shultz TH and picked me up at IB...
We just slogged up the western face of the dome which is slightly steep and has very loose basalt rock...probably more dangerous coming down than up...dog's feet were pretty sore the next day...Not sure where the 'grassy' side that the front page mentioned is...but would have been nice...
Inner Basin was spectular, north side of peaks still had snow...
Only negative was all the horsecrap on the Weatherford....the flies were incredible...even the dog would go off trail to avoid them...
Route Climbed: the saddle between Doyle and Fremont Date Climbed: don' remember
I climed this mountain years ago. I summited Fremont in the same day and started up the weatherford trail across Agassiz. The wind was blowing hard that day. It hit me so hard it knocked me back 3 steps. We turned around when we got to the snowfield. It would be to dangerous to hike across the snow field with the wind being that powerful. Otherwise we probably would of summited Humphreys that day also.
