I actually think that the trail is in a great condition, especially in the summer. It is also a very popular trail in the winter. Many people like to hike it with their skis and then drop down into Santa Fe Ski area, or ski some chutes towards Nambe Lake.

Deception Peak
I was just there in March. Santa Fe had record snow. The snow was deeper than I have ever seen it. I hiked up to the scenic overlook of Santa Fe Baldy but forgot my camera. Bummer!
