Several times, I've looked at this peak and wondered about it, and yesterday I finally went out to check it out. From the saddle to the north, I decided to try the ridge instead, which had some fun Class 3-4 stuff, though the rock was very sharp. But it was a fun little peak, and then I worked my way over to the other craggy-looking outcrop between it and the road, which is much shorter and lower but has some fun scrambling options as well.
Next time you go back to DV check out "Daylight Castle". Got a page on it. A 6 thousander northeast of Corkscrew. It's a fine scramble with outstanding views.
