Conditions not good yet

Well, I was looking for snow condition reports elsewhere and I think this one will do nicely. We found terrible snow on the 13 K ridge to the left of Missouri Peak last weekend and went down. No slides visible in the area, but lots of rockfall trails. The snow was so crappy that we were postholing with snowshoes on, even on the 30 degree slopes. Best wait until June.

On the other hand, the rock is nice and warm down low. Just a thought, man.

*cough*

Glad I studied that weekend. Finally got out myself the other day and ended up falling/sliding down grizzly peak in a fun day of mishap. Will fill you guys in later.

Re: *cough*

Love to hear about it... North Face of Torreys is a prime candidate for one of these weekends.

Great Report!!

Glad things went the "it could have been worse" way. Loved the photos, text and video,.. not so much the music.
Enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing.

good video shots

Glad to hear all are ok.Thanks for the reminder to heed the snow conditions. Easy to forget about that especially when things are getting warm down here.

late in day

glad to hear everyone is ok. That sun looks warm, looks like a climb that needs to be done before the sun is in full roar..
