Silver Snag
Made it up to the Silver Snag area, aka the false summit. Didn't scramble over to the true summit due to sketchy snow conditions. Probably could have made it, but didn't feel like it. Awesome trip! I had been up to Wagonwheel Lake a couple times before, but never above that. Views were better than expected and we had the whole mountain to ourselves. All other hikers we came across didn't bring any traction devices and got turned around at the avy chute traverse which was pretty icy. Microspikes or crampons + an axe are a necessity this early in the season.

Ive climbed this several times, in the winter and summer. I really enjoy the summit, you always have it to yourself and you cant see any civilization, a real feel of solitude. winter climbs are epic.
Obvious trail. Steep. Not too pretty until just before Wagonwheel lake/tarn. Too many bugs, so kept on going up. Pretty views all around from Cub Peak.
