Crux of the route...
Closeup of the crux of the North Star to Lincoln traverse. You can run the ridge up to the right and peer over the cliff point. To get around it, you downclimb to the lower center snow area, and scramble along the base of this pseudo-spire. You will re-gain the ridge proper right around where the snow is in the center-left of photo. 29 June 2006.
