Crowded Crack

Crowded Crack

These Pacific Tree Frogs were taking a nap in this crack and believe it or not were very comfortable. Photo taken in Fern Canyon of Red Rocks, Nevada. Spring 2007. Pacific treefrogs can come in brown, gray, tan and other earth tones as well as green. They can climb quite well if they need to escape from predators.

Can they change color?

You know, kind of like some Sp-members like to change their User image profiles? Interesting!!! Was this the Spring mating season? Sp-member Tanya has a photo of a Tree Frog swimming in a slot canyon. Awesome!!!

Re: Can they change color?

They come in many different colors but once they are born with one they can't change it. Yes, this was taken during the mating season. They don't venture far from water during that time. Cheers.
