Northeast Ridge
Nice snow hike up the ridge between snowstorms. We drove the Plush cutoff road to McDowell Creek Road, and then on to a clearing at 6500 feet where conditions became too muddy to drive any further. From there we walked a rough 4x4 track to the base of the peak and then a direct ascent up the northeast ridge. The previous evenings blizzard left fresh snow for the entire ascent, around 1" at base and several inches up top, great hiking conditions!

It's the drive
Drove to the saddle between Crook and McDowell, during which Kyle said 'guess we have to turn around' twice. I miss the Land Cruiser we were in. Took 35 minutes to reach Crook Peak summit from car - so we climbed McDowell Peak, too.
