FINALLY Got amazing weather in Wales
Having climbed Pen-y-Fan just the previous day I thought I would take advantage of the good weather & venture back into the Brecon Beacons. This turned out to be a gorgeous climb because it ended up snowing above 750 meters (approximate) which gave all the surrounding mountains a gorgeous white layer. I had a few glimpses of gorgeous views all around, but the highlight was the snow. Be prepared for drastically changing weather patterns.

Used North Ridge Route
My first visit to the Brecon Beacons and chose the North Ridge route after starting from the National Trust car park at Cwm Gwdi. A nice steep pull up the last part of the North Ridge to the Summit, then a gentler walk onto Pen Y Fan, Corn Ddu and back via Pen Y Fan and directly North to my car at Cwm Gwdi. The valley fog did clear to warm sunshine, but then turned into low cloud later in the day!

10.8miles On The Beacons
A fine day for my 5th time up on the Brecon Beacons.
Start from A470 car park 10.30am
Clear and sunny but gusts of about 45mph out on the tops.
Covered. Corn Du - Pen Y Fan - Cribyn - Fan Y Big. Then down south in the valley to the Neuadd Reservoir. After a nice snack break at the dam we then head back up on to the west ridge.
Return via. Twyn Mwyalchod Trig Point - Graig Fan Ddu - Craig Gwaun Taf and Bwlch Duwynt.
Back to A470 car park at 18.00pm
Complete route done in 7.5hours including stopping breaks.
I have only ventured to this part of Wales to climb once, and did all four, must do something about it though. I remember caving somewhere around there too but not to sure where, got completely stuck in a keyhole.
