Missed the trail, up the wrong ridge
My friend and I decided to climb up the wrong ridge(the one with barbed wire along it) from the correct starting point to the peak at 4462' and then cross over to the main ridge. It is very possible but a little ugly and ate up a ton of time. We did not treat this mountain with enough respect and started a bit after 9(not great back in January). We made it to the main ridge and turned back about an hour later where the bushwhacking got bad. It was a fun and beautiful (albeit bloody) trip and I'll defiantly be heading back with more daylight. Do try to keep to the route given in the GPS track here. There is a trail that washes in and out at various points but the trail starts strong. If you are not on the trail (on the right side of the wash looking upcanyon) after a couple of minutes climbing upwards you are probably in the wrong place. Once you find it however, it may quickly disappear.

Fun Shit!!
Long sleeves, long pants, and sturdy boots are a must for this hike. Also, good navigation skills too. Did this solo in just under 9-hours. I'm from the PNW, not used to all the pokey thing...

Very long day
Grueling hike! The trail was really only good until the reach the main ridge, after that it was mostly gone or very overgrown with prickly stuff. If I had to do it again (and I'm definitely not) I would stay on top of the ridge. Expect to draw blood on this hike!

Long day
A challenging climb with Eric Kassan and Fan. The trail is very helpful when you can follow it. Trip report here: http://www.peakbagger.com/climber/ascent.aspx?aid=759002

East Ridge
Surprisingly decent route the whole way up - finding the track gets a little tricky when traversing to the south slopes before the final push, and again near the summit. Beautiful area and not well-traveled.

Long day, but there is a trail
Finally got this peak, with Scott Peavy, Scott Kelley and Ben Stanley. Very demanding hike, lots of rock, but the trail does go all the way up. However, it's easy to lose in places especially near the end.

Idiots Delight
Rough bushwack up the west side on a sultry overcast
day in August. Did I mention the bad access ?
This was a steep route, and a poor day to
be hiking from 3700 to 6500 feet in AZ. A better route is
rumored to be on the SE side of the peak.
