Very artfulVery artful blending of shade and light. I like it better than your photo of the day.

Re: Very artfulThanks, I gave up trying to figure out
anything to do with voting on this Site.
I love colors and shadows, so that's what
I'll keep on giving to the customer.
After all, the customer is always right.

Who is the customer? Is the customer the regular voter on images or is it the person who is relying on SummitPost to help plan a trip? When I was planning a trip to the Dolomites early this year, (which I was not able to take) many of the images that were the most helpful did not have all that many votes. It really should be easy to divide the submission of images into informational images and artful images like yours. Both categories have a legitimate place in the system.

Re: Who is the customer?I look at "the customer" as being the "pair of
eyes" on the chair in front of their computer.
Rather they choose to vote or not, that would be entirely up to them.
I suppose "dividing the images" has been
considered, and perhaps that idea will be
"batted around" by the administrators of
this Site.
Just wondering how many images "the system"
can actually hold. By looking at SP, appears
that there's an "infinite" number of
submissions, and an "infinite" amount of
customers (using) the system as well.
That's my take on it.
(But then, I don't know a hell of a lot
about computers and other electronic gizmos.)
As far as space requirements go ...

very coolhaving never been in a area like this before this pic makes me want to visit this place some day. Thanks for the inspiration. Love the different colors of the desert.

Re: very coolThank you.
The 'desert southwest' is open 24/7.
(It's especially nice in winter).

Re: hey LarryThank you, Radek.
Actually, I'm still trying to finger out
why some of the juniper trees (in the image)
are purple.
Yes, glad to have the Canon with a 10X zoom!
Watch out! (Larry has a 'zoomer' contraption!)
