Cobb Peak

Cobb Peak

I took this shot of Cobb Peak from the summit of Graham Peak in May of 2008 and little did I expect to return to climb Cobb a year later. Cobb was a tougher peak to get than Graham was as it had a lot of routefinding decisions that had to be made on the way up. It took us 3 hours to go 1.2 miles and 2300 feet. The label is just to the right of the summit area.

Label

Dean, I've been to Floating Island four times and have never seen huge red letters hovering above or near it. What gives? :-)

Re: Label

The state of Utah has realized the economic tourist value of having a "floating island"
within its borders and put those letters up so that people would know what they are looking at. In Utah Ute red no less.
