Nice looking granite!

Looks like a sweet climb. What do you think it's rated? cc.com might be a place to find out what climb that is Haydar.

Re: Nice looking granite!

I am guessing it was about 5.12 ...

Okay - not really! I did have to aid the top move where it gets a bit overhanging, though. Probably 5.8, with a 5.9 move on top?

It had a very fun move at the bottom though, to get into the crack.

Re: Nice looking granite!

From appearance, I'd give it 12b or c but definitely not 12d. Was that your finding as well Jim?

Re: Nice looking granite!

It does look nice! Originally I thought it looked like the Javelin, except for this one doesn't have a line of bolts right next to a perfectly protectable crack, but that's another discussion. :-)

Re: Nice looking granite!

Actually, there was a line of bolts on the blank face on the right side of the crack.

Re: Nice looking granite!

Yes, that was about my finding too.

I remember getting near the top and saying something like, "$#%$#, what is this? $%$#'in 5.12c? %$#$!"

Then again, I say similar things on Broughton 5.7s, so you really never know ...
