I was driving south through Nevada and this one was close to a highway. Drove a short ways up the spur road but soon parked because it felt too rough for the subaru. Mild flurries on and around the top.

From Julian Lane
Walked the mining road from Julian Lane- though if I had to do it again I'd probably try to use the ridge road form 95A.

First peak of the trip
I met Richard Carey of San Diego at the turnoff from the highway and found out that he had driven 532 miles to get there from San Diego while I had driven 534 from Lehi Utah. Pretty amazing.
We then found our way to the "trailhead" and car camped for the night so we could get an early start before it got too hot. We nabbed a bonus peak along the way to the summit and thus began an 8 day trip where Richard and I covered a good chunk of Nevada's outback to pick off a bunch more peaks before we were through.
