Re: Great ShotThanks very much. This was shot a number of years ago with film, either Ektachrome of one of the Fuji flavors. In either case an ISO 100. I used a 200 mm zoom, which helped keep the shallow depth of field, and aperture priority, stopping the lens down to its nearly smallest aperture to help reduce flare.
The original slide looks much better than the scan, of course.

Re: Brrrr....It's always amazing to consider the kind of temperatures that birds endure night after night, huddled in a tree, bush, hollow, or burrow. Those little critters are tough. Glad you like the shot, I was lucky he cooperated.
