Magic Isle
With Colin, Ken, Andy & Trevor as part of ridge walks from Glen Rosa campsite over Bein Nuis, Bein Tarsuin, Cir Mhor and Goat Fell. Each day followed by a long walk to the Ormidale Hotel for evenings of fun with pub quizzes, music and trying to work our way through the whiskey menu. A brilliant week.
Route Climbed: East ridge Date Climbed: 7th July 2001
From Glen Rosa car park, up the glen to The Saddle, then an easy walk / scramble up loose gravel and slabby rock to the top. Warm and drizzling - not ideal weather! Summit is still a spectacualr place even in the mist though. Back down the east ridge, then dropped north (steeply at first) to walk down Glen Sannox.
