We do not live in a cartoon world; there are no dotted lines on our roads with arrows showing us the way to go. With road designation numbers changing across the Wyoming-South Dakota line, it was easy to get turned around traveling from Custer, SD to the lookout on Cement Ridge, Wyoming. Yet we did arrive and what a view! A wonderful Old West, high desert and cowgirl of the mountain sensation!

A change in plans...
My wife & I had not originally planned to come up here. But, we found this by accident, so had fun exploring and hiking the summit ridge.

Drive up
Cold and windy up there on this early September day. I almost ran out of gas on the way back to Spearfish.
