"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Quick hike rewarding viewsClimbed up the stairs from the TH and summited in a matter of minutes if not seconds. Great views of the red mesas jutting out of the surrounding plain. Walked north across the flat summit until reaching a fence that warned of crumbling edges. From there I scrambled down the north west flank and made my way north towards Lone peak across a very muddy (at the time) field. Easy scramble up the south face of Lone peak. The summit provided a good view of the cathedral mountain to the south.
