Spicy
I have a thing for remote Oregon pinnacles I guess. Getting to this rock was a challenge. We went down Castle Rock road only to be turned around by a random rancher digging out the cattle guard. Went way back around to the west side where we found a jeep track. After driving up the "road" a bit we made a direct bee-line bushwack (2 miles) up the west-side eventually gaining the ridge. From there we took the standard route: scramble, climb, traverse, climb. We left the rope in the car and did the two low 5th class pitches free-solo. The rock (by Oregon standards) was pretty good - just take your time.

cool spot
interesting scramble with splattski. I was glad he brought a rope for the part of the descent. This peak is quite prominent when driving east out of Burns
I tried to go up here with a "friend" he was all, "its the desert what can happen?" "I got a 4 wheel drive don't worry..."
For the record 4 wheel drives don't drive in clay during freak rain storms... Oh and sticks don't help clay rodes.
