This very pleasant day hike can be frustrated by Nature Conservancy closures so it is well to at least check their website. The "upper trail" to an overlook, and the pleasant Hart Cove Trail to the north, are also subject to "resource protecton" closures and should be checked by phone, as the listed Forest Service website may be (has been) misleading on this issue.
