So, there's a route below the ridge, on the south side, that's easier and faster?? Did you have any chance to chat with the person who did this? (I'm not bothered by exposure, but my climbing partner is, so I'd really like to know more about this, as we're planning on hitting this one before the season is out...)
Yes we did chat with this person. He went over on the knife edge and came back below it (south side) as an experiment. There are no trail markers, he just made his way walking/scrambling along between 10 - 25 feet below us while we all clung to the ridge like a bunch of clumsy monkeys. And he passed us!
