The Calpyso orchid or fairy slipper (Calypso bulbosa) is a common early spring orchid of moist coniferous forests of western North America and across Canada. This photo was taken at Kamiak Butte in Washington state.

how I love it

Unfortunately, I have not yet seen her. I'd like to go to Lappland since years, but it fails year by year. But I have not given up my hope of once seeing Calypso.
