East Slope
Easy solo day hike from camp but didn't care for the amount of sand up there. Decided to take a more rocky trip down and found myself in Class 4 terrain...now THAT was fun.

West Chute
I always thought it strange this was added on as an SPS peak, but after visiting there now I get it. Not only is the view great (well 180 degrees of it) but the climbing was fun too.
From camp north of Harrison Pass, first up Stanford and then down a sand chute to the south and up the west face of Caltech next before going over to Ericsson and Deerhorn. The west face was your choice of loose class 2-3 or fun class three slabs on either side of chutes leading straight to the summit.

Southeast Slopes Variation
Awesome 2 1/2 day trip out of Onion Valley. Magnificent scenery on the way in, just dodged the storm on the out!

Welcome to the SPS list
From Onion Valley via Forester Pass. The route wasn't quite the slog-fest I imagined and the cl2-3 ridge proved to be just a little more fun than I expected. Thanks to the newest addition to the SPS list, we can await more frequent climbs of this nice peak. The name, however... for god's sake, needs to be changed!

East Ridge
Pretty tough dayhike with the Sierra Challenge. After summiting there's still about 2500ft of gain returning over the passes back to Onion Valley. I was pretty wore out by the end, but definitely fun!

End of a long Sierra Challenge day. Once I got down into the basin, the route was fine.

West chute ascent/NE Ridge descent
Nice climb of the second chute from the left end of the west face -- takes you right to the top. The NE ridge was an easy descent as well. Great views. Pictures
took a quick hike up this from the JMT after crossing Forester Pass. This is one of the easier high Sierra Peaks and has a fair amount of loose rock but is Class 2 unless you go out of your way to make it harder
