Re: How colours Marc!There is a forty mile stretch of road though hillsides that always get covered by poppies in spring. My wife and I love to visit the area every year. Unfortunately, the poppies last only two or three weeks.

Wonderful!How beautiful! And what are the purple flowers called?
By the way, those Californian Poppies were the favorite flowers by the violinist Yehudi Menuhin, as he writes in his autobiography "Unfinished Journey". And he remembered there having seen the primaballerina Anna Pawlowa, dancing a solo describing that flower... :-)

Re: Wonderful!Thank you very much, Maria. You seem to know a lot more about California Poppies than I did. You have real good eyes to see the tiny purple flowers. I wish I knew what they are called, but I don't.
