I think the K-peaks were named in the order they were measured or seen. K2 was at one point changed to K13, in order to make the cataloguing easier. Superstitious climbers didn't like that idea at all and the name was changed back to K2.
I've read a book about mountains in which every second named mountain was the Broad Peak. I instandly got the idea to have a look at summitpost.org to see if someone has contributed something. And it's again you CORAX :-)
Now I know almost everything about this big mountain, you' ve done a very good work...
I liked very much that you also involved a bit of the history of this peak.
