Bagged with not labeled Shurfine Peak
We bagged this peak on our Rayado Trek. That day we started at Crooked Creek, went to Phillips Junction Commissary, then back tracked and then turned off to the north. The trail was in pretty rough shape. You could tell that it is rarely used. We full backpacks it was an extremely grueling climb. We turned east where the trail splits. On the way to Bonito we bagged Shurfine Peak which is not labeled on the map, but there is a sign at the top. Then we continued on to Bonito and bagged it to. Great climb. Unfortunately there is no view.

True Summit
I thought I was on the true summit the first time...turns out I wasn't. I made the true summit this time on our Ranger training trek
Did it in the summer of 2009 as a Ranger. This peak was a pain in the ass to hike. I started at Crater Lake, did Trail Peak, went to Beaubien, did Bonito, went to Black Mountain Camp, went to Miners Park and then back to base camp. I almost died atop this peak from an intense thunderstorm. I would have taken more pictures of the summit, but I pretty much touched it and took one picture and ran off to a low point. Glad I did it though
