Bonanza is the highest non-volcano in the entire Cascade Range. It is also the highest peak in Chelan County, where 7 of the 10 Washington non-volcano 9ers are located, either entirely within the county or on the border. The seven are Bonanza, Mt. Stuart (9,415'), Mt. Fernow (9,249'), Mt. Goode (9,235'), Mt. Buckner (est. 9,114'), on the border with Skagit County, Seven Fingered Jack (9,100'), and Mt. Maude (9082'). The other three Washington 9ers are Mt. Shuksan (9,131'), Mt. Logan (9,087'), situated just outside of Chelan County, and Jack Mountain (9,066'). Shuksan and Jack are both in Whatcom County.
As for topographic prominence, Bonanza, at 3,711', has considerably less than Chelan's second highest peak, Mt. Stuart, which has 5,335' of prominence.
