Birch Mtn. Marc. I know it's not Kid. Wow! What a herd of elk!

That's Birch. Kid isn't shaped like that. I did the topocop thing and checked it out. Besides I climbed Kid from the north in 2000, just a big up hill slog to a rounded summit, not as steep and didn't have to face that ridge that curves along the top of the peak.

Well, if what you are saying is true, then what is the name of the mountain that looks very similar to Birch Mt. and to the south of it? BTW, I took this shot from the east which makes the mountain look very different than looking at it from the north/Glacier Lodge. I am looking at my topo and seeing two pyramidal shaped mountains; the one to the north, Kid Mountain, and the one to the south of it Birch Mt. This is the one on the north.
