I attended a couple 10-day summer camps in Kandersteg as a boy scout, where we did all sorts of fun activities like river rafting, mountain biking, and of course hiking. My favorite hike was one where we ascended a glacier and stayed overnight at the Lotchenpass hut before descending down the other side.
Living in Geneva, my family also took me to the more touristy areas like Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, and Piz Gloria, and to this day I think the Bernese Alps are the prettiest mountains in all the world (at least of the ones I've seen), with views so good you'd think you were in a fairy tale.
Came back in 2018 with the wife and kids. After taking the train up to Jungfraujoch, we wandered around some trails near Kleine Scheidegge on the way back down to Lauterbrunnen. We also made the short hike to Oeshinensee after riding the alpine slide near Kandersteg. This is such a beautiful area!
The Berner Oberland is one of my favorite regions in the Alps; second only to the Pennine Alps (for me). Climbed the Moench, Jungfrau and a number of minor peaks in the Aletschgletscher area, as well as from the Bluemlisalphuette.

Does anybody know what it would be like or if its possible to climb the whole range from Altels to Gletsch? Distance? Difficulty? Time required?

Numerous visits dating back to 1973
Climbed the 3 main peaks above Kandersteg on my 1st alpine experience in 1973 (Frundenhorn, Doldenhorn, Blumlisalp). Over the years have repeated ascents of all 3 plus added in the 2 others in the group. Have also made some ascents in the Loeschental section and Grindlewald areas.
