frequent this hill for conditioning  Sucess!

I have been up here about 25 times now, a couple times by bicycle, and I've been up the Canyon Trail, and both Skyline trails. This is one of what I believe are 9 hills in the immediate Tri-Cities area with 300 feet of prominence, one of the less worthy lists to complete.
2014
Up to 40+ ascents now, mostly up the canyon trail.

Over a 150 times.

Starting a few years ago, I climbed Badger about once a week in all seasons. I used it as a training conditioner but it became addictive and so I love this mountain, even though it isn't much to look at. The views from up there are pretty nice and on a clear day you can see Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams and Mt. Rainier.

William Painter, the oldest person to summit Mt. Rainier at the age of 83 (from Richland Washington) uses Badger Mtn as his conditioning hill. I would often see him carrying a full pack up and down the mountain, long before the current trail system was put in place.

Highly Recommended!!!  Sucess!

I visited Tri-Cities this weekend to watch two hockey playoff games. What I was not expecting, however, was to find such a "diamond in the rough" hiking opportunity in the area. Badger Mountain has trails that are well-groomed, well-maintained, and well-used.
