First hike
My very first hike, had a snowball fight and swam in the sea all in the same day, amazing view, would recommend, bring sudocream!! i got a sore ring peice and the walk down was agonising, follow the trails down and do not trust the construction road as it doesn’t link up and basically forces you to climb down almost sheer rock faces, all in all a very good hike, apparently it was quite tough compared to other mountains, however as it was my first i have no comparison

Steven, Ryan and myself set off at 6.30am from Lykia world. Recce on section one 2 days previous helped us with route marking also found 2 native tortoises. We were soon on the 750Ms plateau, summit 1200Ms above and still snow capped. The steep forest section after the goat pens was as hard going as I remember but I'd trained harder this time. Once we got onto the construction road for the new cable car it got cold. Restaurant wasn't finished or open, begged some water replacements from the workers rather than back tracking to our stashed water supplies.
Wasn't able to reach the highest point due to heavy snow but had a snowball fight and planned our descent. We followed the construction road route which wasn't a great idea, it doesn't reach the bottom, minibus route was miles longer, 2 serious scrambles later were at the road to Oludeniz. Feet and legs aching we went swimming in the Mediterranean 6pm.
11hrs on our feet.
1850Ms up and down 15miles + distance.
Sea level to summit, snowball fight, swim in the Mediterranean on the same day.

The beach up section was difficult, the inclined rock face crossing not for the feint hearted. Beware of the wasps, they were relentless at any rest stop.
Once on the main path life was much simpler, this can also be accessed from Montana resort lodge taxi area.
Details of the path were great, following green dots not so easy. Once above the village there's goat pens on the path, just afterwards don't miss the right turn. Life in the forest is steep and hard work. Restaurant was fantastic, breakfast and water supplies. Went back down to Hisoranu via the road and rock screes.
9.5hrs, 2000Ms up and down, 30Km.
