April 7, 2002: we had backpacked up Tuber Canyon and camped around 6600' in the pinyon / junipers. Our route was x/c on the north side of the canyon (which had something of a use trail), to Arcane Meadow, where we joined the summit trail. Some snow lingered in patches on the trail, higher up, but it was not an impediment and there was no snow on the summit. Windy and chilly, but excellent views of Death Valley and the snowcapped eastern Sierras.
