Re: ImpressiveIt kind of feels that way too! The rock is pretty brittle sandstone (cutler) and the top is as large as a small table. Yipes!

Just...brilliant! How do you climb this, looks like no place for trad gear and I can see little to no bolts! Do you just run it out to the top and pray for the best?

Re: Just...Thanks for the nice comment! I remember one portion being run out. Just below this last section is "the sidewalk" which is 20 feet of walking on some of the most exposed rock you can find (it's about 1-2 feet wide with 400 foot drops on either side). After this you belly flop onto a big bulge in the rock connected to the spire. As you stand up you find the first bolt. From there it is easy climbing, not too run out.
