Amy from Seattle toproping...

Amy from Seattle toproping the famous 4 star classic stemming problem, Stems & Seeds (5.11B). I've bouldered the base of this thing, and it is wild! At the crux, it is over 5 1/2 feet wide.

Re: Midget?

It is possible. You would have to power up one of the extremely thin tips cracks on each side, without the use of the stem. Might be 12+ or 5.13 that way.

Thanks,

Martin

Stems & Seeds, huh?

Seems like a pretty dank climb to me! Cool how the rope virtually disappears against the color of the rock- if you would've taken out the L-side of the photo, it would look like she's soloing it!

Re: Stems & Seeds, huh?

Hey, thanks man. It looks like a great route indeed! Something I'm hoping to work on TR here in the next few months.

Cheers,

Re: Looks a bit like a famous NA Classic..

It does. I bet it is really good training for El Matador too.

I love this climb (sort of)

This is one of my favourite Vantage Climbs - first time I climbed it, I walked funny for about 3 days. Hard to place pro for short guys (like me) because you can't see how good the placements are.

Re: I love this climb (sort of)

I agree that it is amazing. Those stems are incredibly wide. Thanks for checking it out.

That's some bridging

I'd be stretched out on the leg width, though no problem with my humungous, and unusual arm span to height ratio (like, everyone knows what theirs is), still, gifted with arms 4" greater span than my height, it puts me in the category of Oran Utan. We must do a SP poll on that!

Very useful for "hanging around".
