Very good and informative.

I had to abandon this tour in 2000 due to bad weather (didn’t see a thing from the Margherita hut). Looking at your pictures makes you feel you were there. Thanks for posting them.

Thanks! It was a great tour. I had already climbed the Dufour from The other side some years ago but this trip was compleet!

Very nice album

What route is harder from Zumstein or from Sattel?What do you think?

Thanx! Technical there is not a big difference, from Zumstein its a bit more technical in rock(2/3). But the route over the sattel is a very long one, a long way over the glacier. Between Zumstin and dufour there is a (what i call scary;) very narrow snowridge were you have to be very carefull, but if you have pass it its a very nice climb up, just a part 3 UIAA on top off the ridge just under the summit. From the sattel its 2 UIAA. If you like to climb the dufour i can recommend you to do the across from Ref. Reg. Margharita and down to Zermatt. I climbed Dufour before from the Monte rosa hutte op and the same way back but thats a long one, the across is very interresting and you climb Zumstein also, thats two 4000ers in one day ;)
