Ever since I first learned about the Superstition Mountains, I have been intrigued by them. I've only spent a few days there, but would like to return someday. Peak 5024, The Flatiron, and Peak 5057 are on my list of places to visit. Thanks for posting the report.
I'd love to spend more time, but it was amazing how enjoyable this visit of a little over three hours was. It's a beautiful place, and contrasts dramatically with Phoenix.

Old enough to remember Gilligan ?That's okay .... I'm old enough to remember Ginger.
Great report, Rob! I noticed you brought up the subject of gold.
I've been living in AZ 25 years, and the ONLY gold I've seen
was shining in desert sunsets and my wife's smile. Don't feel bad.
