2013 in Nevada - Portuguese Peak road

Storms had hit the area hard a week or so before our visit and many of the roads had suffered severe storm damage. We had to find alternate ways to get past washouts and often that involved driving cross country with one of us spotting for rocks and obstacles to get to the section of road that was still functional. This picture shows the road in one spot and the arrow points to the way we went to our cross country alternative.
