Thompson Falls Trail

2010 July Golden BC

The trailhead of the trail follows the right side of the Blaeberry River.
Thompson Falls Trail is a short, only 1.4 kilometer loop.
The trail is leading to a waterfall on the Blaeberry River
The waterfall is located about 1 km from the parking lot.
This is an easy short hike. Watch your steps since the slopes are slippery from the moisture from the river.











How to Get to Thompson Falls Trail

Travel west of the community of Golden on Highway #1 to the Blaeberry Forest Service Road. Continue on the rough gravel road for 21 km till you see the sign for Thompson Falls recreation site. There turn right to the parking lot.

Not far from the falls are a few recreation campsites including the Thompson Falls
and Split Creek Recreation Sites.
The wilderness campgrounds are rustic and include firepits, picnic tables and pit toilets.
