Mt Morrison PhotoHi: I just wanted to mention, that this graphic description of routes is a very useful way to show people where the routes don't go. In this case, the ridge lines are fairly straighforward, but this really helps to identify the lines. Thank you. Alois.

Re: Mt Morrison PhotoYes, you're right, the routes depicted are fairly straightforward, but the East Slope has a couple of variations that I haven't done, and as for the NW Ridge, it is worth noting the best place (in my opinion) to gain the ridge. As always, there are many subtle variations available, these red and blue lines are pretty generic. Thanks for the comment. Barry

Re: Mt Morrison PhotoI don't think this picture does justice to how hard the East Slope from Convict Lake Direct actually is. The brush covered slope alone takes a big amount time, and the Hanging Valley just seems to continue on forever when I climbed it. Good picture from the air.
