Re: Noire?True.. in the limit of the mobility of a not-so-adventurous wife (taking her to Romania was a mountain by itself) and now a son... When I was still single some 6 years ago I had the plan to go hiking in Norway after the Tatras.. plan never realized for the reasons you know, despite I bought some guidebooks !
As for Slovenian mountains, to me they represent all at one all of the advantages the Pyrenees and the Carpathians together : southern atmosphere and beautiful limestone peaks which remind my home climate, and as friendly as Poland, and economically speaking as affordable (or almost)...
And to finish, as distant from Wroclaw than the Pyrenees are from Paris !
